Book club edition of revised second edition. Includes publisher's slipcase. Jacket spines a bit faded, minimal wear to corners, bottom slipcase panel a bit rubbed, but overall a much better example of this set than we generally see. Bindings tight and square, board corners sharp, pages clean, bright, and unmarked.

Complete in three volumes with publisher's slipcase. 423; 352; 440 pp. 8vo. 9 x 6. The fold-out maps included after the text of each volume make this a desirable edition of Tolkien's masterwork. Each jacket bears the familiar emblem of the One Ring and Sauron's eye surrounded by elven runic writing on the front panel and the spine, with a separate color for each volume which matches the top-stain color of each.
