A survey of birds found within a 40-mile radius of Manhattan, covering parts of New Jersey and Connecticut, by the head of the Department of Ornithology at the American Museum of Natural History. Includes a foreword by Roger Tory Peterson, and maps and woodcut illustrations throughout text. Bull also wrote Bull's Birds of New York State (not included here), which is often called 'the bible of New York birders.'
