14, 10 pp. 10 color and black-and-white plates. The tapestries were produced in the region comprising Switzerland and the Upper Rhine. They were worked in coloured wool over a linen chain slung on an upright frame. Besides the woolen yarn, white linen threads were sometimes used and, more rarely, silk, gold and silver.
