The set and the atlas are reissues of the original works prepared under the direction of the United States Secretary of War and printed 1880-1901. Each book is individually indexed, and a general index to the full set is also included. This set is still in print and available from Broadfoot for $2500. An exhaustive account of one of the most trying periods of American history, providing a level of detail and continuity not available anywhere else.
