German country and this is a work of historical fiction based on actual events in the town of Bethlehem PA during a period of unrest between the Native Americans and the settlers of Eastern PA. The town is still known for following Moravian Christmas traditions, building elaborate creches combining natural materials with figurines representing the participants in the Christmas story and celebrating with the music of brass bands and a communal meal of coffee and sweet buns.
