Two volumes bound in one. 172, 140 pp. ESTC T212209. Samuel Clarke was among those who delivered Boyle's Lectures. He was a friend of Isaac Newton, and translated Newton's Opticks, while defending him from the criticisms of Leibniz. The first of the two works included in this volume was published from the author's manuscript by John Clarke, D.D., Dean of Sarum, and is the first Irish edition of the work. The second work comprises three essays written by S. Clarke, which had previously been published in Ireland, but appear together with the Exposition here for the first time.
