An account of an inspection trip to Australia during WW II by LBJ when he was a congressman on active duty in the Navy. He flew on one mission aboard a B-26 Marauder, an attack on Lae. Saburo Sakai was among the Japanese pilots who attacked the formation, shooting down the Marauder carrying another member of the inspection team, Col. Francis Stevens aboard the Wabash Cannonball. Johnson was to fly on that aircraft, but he changed to the Heckling Hare at the last minute.
