150 pp. A rather curious item: at first blush, it appears to be a pseudonymous novel by Lawrence Block, given that he wrote a number of books under the name Sheldon Lord, and the insertion of a signed bookplate by another bookseller proves at least one member of the trade was fooled. According to Block's bibliographer, however, this was not written by him. Apparently Block gave permission to a number of friends to use his pseudonym. In addition to that, the publishers of his pseudonymous novels continued to use his pseudonyms for other novels they published, without his permission. So, what we have then is an erotic novel written by someone other than Block, using his pseudonym, together with a signature by Block that has nothing whatever to do with the book itself, but serves as a helpful reminder of the danger of taking things at face value.
