First thus. Signed and dated with poem (in French) by Sylvia on front endpaper, with a Christmas card, several post cards, another poem by the author, and a pamphlet by 'M.S.' (almost certainly Marie Sylvia) about Joan of Arc entitled 'La Revue Jeanne d'Arc' (Mai 1943). The Christmas card is also signed, with a lengthy inscription that indicates she and the owner of this volume were good friends.

From the foreword: "This little volume contains French poems selected from the three books of verse: Vers le Bien, Vers le Beau, and Vers le Vrai, by the talented authoress, who writes under the pen name of 'Marie Sylvia.' The first two volumes were printed in Ottawa, and the third was published last summer by Louis Carrier & Company, Montreal. A few of the poems have not yet been issued in book form."
